Supply of Critical Care Medical Devices to Western Australian Health Service Providers

This Request invites offers for the supply of critical care medical devices to Western Australian Health Service Providers and the Department of Health. The scope of the Contract will include a range of medical devices and training, education and/or support required to provide specialist clinical care for adult, paediatric and neonatal patients within critical care areas. There will also be provisions for the inclusion of new technology and/or enhancements to contracted items during the Term of the Head Agreement.

Respondents shall nominate the categories of Products they wish to offer, and may offer one or more Products under each category nominated. Each category of Products will be considered independently and, in order to adequately account for clinical end user requirements, a single supplier or panel of suppliers may be appointed for individual line items within each product category and/or subcategory. The Contract will operate as a standing offer arrangement (Head Agreement), with orders (Customer Contracts) being placed on an ‘as required’ basis during the Term of the Head Agreement.

The Contract will replace the following existing Whole of Health Contracts;

• HCNS111610 Critical Care Consumables;

• HCNS111610A Haemodynamic Monitoring Kits; and

• HCNS109109 Central Venous and Thermodilution Catheters

It will be mandatory for use by Health Service Providers state-wide and the Department of Health, except for certain categories which are machine specific and based on individual hospital requirements.
