Transport and Storage of Deceased Persons

The Departments of Anatomical Pathology (AP) and Forensic Pathology (FP) within PathWest, respectively provide non-coronial and coronial post-mortem mortuary services at our metropolitan sites, to the major tertiary teaching hospitals, metropolitan and regional public sector hospitals, and private hospitals throughout Western Australia (WA). PathWest has a requirement for a licenced Funeral Director for the provision of transport of deceased persons on an as-required basis, encompassing peri-natal, paediatric and adult deaths, whether classified as non-coronial and/or coronial (henceforth referred to as ‘the Deceased’). In addition, storage on an as required basis may be required for the State Mortuary at QEIIMC (classified as Coronial) off-site, outside of the hospital mortuary system and Fiona Stanley Hospital (FSH) (classified as non-coronial), at the Contractor’s facilities. In summary, PathWest is seeking provision of transport and storage services of deceased persons under the following categories: a) Transportation Services of Deceased Persons b) Storage of Deceased Persons c) Consumables: Peri Natal Body Bags & Transport Kits
