North East Water
Wodonga - Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) Outfall Pipeline - Replacement
Details
Description
The Wodonga Wastewater Treatment Plant services the whole township of Wodonga in Victoria. Located off Old Barnawartha Road, the treatment plant operates under Victoria EPA licence and discharges all treated effluent to the Murray River. Operation over the years has identified limited discharge capacity of the existing 450mm diameter effluent outfall pipeline, especially in event of high river levels. In compliance with current operating licence conditions and planning for future growth, the treatment plant will require a new 900mm diameter outfall pipeline and outfall structure from the Wodonga Wastewater Treatment Plant to the Murray River, replacing the existing effluent outfall.
North East Water has completed a preliminary design issued as part of this RfT to the open market, seeking to engage a Principal Contractor under a design and construct contract to deliver this project. The proposed works under this Rft includes:
• New 900mm diameter outfall pipeline of approximately 1.22km.
• Up-stream tie-in.
• Waterway crossing.
• New outfall structure at the Murray River.
• Associated structures, valves and fittings.
• Testing, commissioning and operator training.
• Site clearing and restoration.
• Decommission the existing 450mm diameter outfall pipe.
• Work-As-Executed drawings and O&M Manuals.
