Protecting breeding habitat of the superb parrot - CW-SR00161-1

The proposed procurement activity is to provide a contract to Greening Australia to provide protection and restoration of superb parrot habitat in the NSW Riverina, South West Slopes and Southern Tablelands. The contract will be for a 4-year term (with no extension options), with a contract value of $523,628 excl GST, paid over the first two years of the contract. Funding is provided by the NSW Biodiversity Conservation Trust (BCT), via the NSW Saving Our Species (SoS) program and attached to WBS account EX-6882-T20103. The scope of the procurement includes the delivery of: 1. restoration of 250 hectares of superb parrot habitat using methods including direct seeding and tubestock planting of a mix of appropriate tree, shrub and ground cover plants. 2. monitoring of restoration success and plant survival rates in Year 3 and 4. 3. four landholder engagement events to achieve the restoration target.
