Description
The Queensland Government is seeking Proposals for a Review of Best Practice Regulation for Aquaculture.
The Department is seeking to engage a suitably qualified and experienced contractor to review the current approach to regulating land-based aquaculture and compare it to best practice standards.
The focus of the review is on wastewater, including management practices, water quality criteria (concentration and load limits), monitoring requirements (on-site and off-site), and reporting information to the regulator.
The findings of the review and recommendations will be provided in the form of a technical report, which will undergo a Departmental review at the draft stage followed by a final review once the draft comments have been addressed.
