Description
The Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA) requires the provision of aerial surveys for kangaroos and other large animals in Western Australia. Aerial surveys are flown each year to enable the estimates of kangaroo population size from which commercial harvest quotas are set. Other large animals, especially feral ungulates and emus are also counted during the surveys.
