National Indigenous Australians Agency
For the provision of bulk long term low aromatic fuel storage to facilitate supply to the NT and northern WA
Details
Description
The RFT will seek bulk fuel storage in a seaboard fuel terminal with storage capacity equal to or greater than 4.5 million litres.
In the event that Tender Responses propose seaboard terminal options outside of Darwin, the NIAA may consider options, from the same or other Tenderers, establishing smaller capacity fuel depot options. The NIAA anticipates such depot options would be located in Katherine, Darwin or other locations on or near the Stuart Highway (NT) and Great Northern Highways (WA) north of Broome to align with existing supply chains.
Depending on the Tender Responses received and the impact on supply chains, the NIAA may choose to pursue any, all or none of the seaboard terminal and depot options described above.
The NIAA’s preference will be for any fuel storage to be ready from 1 December 2024.
Any eventuating agreements are anticipated to run to 30 June 2035, plus extension options.
