Networking Tasmania (NT) III - Education Internet Services

The Tasmanian Government, represented by TMD, seeks to establish a Standing Offer arrangement(s) for the supply of NT III Education Internet services, as follows:

· The Government’s current arrangement for the supply of Internet Services for the Department of Education expires mid-2016. The Government will be seeking one or more suppliers to provide Internet Services for the Department of Education after this date.

· The Government has arrangements in place with iiNet for the supply of Internet Services for Government customers other than the Department of Education. The initial term for those services expires on 30 September 2017, with five one-year extensions options available. The Government may be interested in one or more alternative or additional suppliers for of Internet Services for those customers from 1 October 2017.

The Government’s overall objective across its Internet agreements is to secure Internet Services for Education and other Government customers which are highly-available, scalable, flexible and competitive, whether through a single supplier, or multi-supplier arrangements. This will be the fifth in a series of procurements under the Tasmanian Cloud - NT III initiative.
