Description

The Department of Health and Ageing is responsible for the development, implementation and evaluation of national immunisation policies and programs on behalf of the Commonwealth.It has implemented a coordinated vaccine procurement arrangement with the States and Territories which aims to secure an assured supply of essential vaccines to the National Immunisation Program (NIP).The successful tenderer(s) will supply meningococcal C and/or Hib vaccine/s to the NIP.

Under the coordinated vaccine procurement arrangement, Health will conduct the procurement process for the Supplies.Pursuant to this RFT, the Supplier(s) of the vaccines will be engaged by the Commonwealth and each State and Territory under a head agreement (in the form of the Deed), which will allow Health and each State and Territory to obtain Supplies by submitting Orders to the Supplier(s).The Supplier(s) will deliver the Supplies to designated sites (the Nominated Delivery Centres), where the relevant State or Territory will store and distribute the Supplies to the eligible cohorts as required.
