The ATO requires individual experts who are respected in their field to form the ATO’s Tax Gap Program Advisory Group (TGAG), providing advice to the ATO on estimation of Tax Gaps. In undertaking this work, ongoing services of industry experts in the field of tax gap remains necessary to ensure that robust, defensible, fit for purpose methodologies are developed and implemented.
