Panel of Independent Certifiers for Commonwealth Funded Infrastructure Projects

The Commonwealth Government, through the Department of Health and Ageing, provides funds to state/territory governments and non government organisations for a variety of health infrastructure projects ranging from staff housing to large hospitals. Funding varies from around $500,000 to over $20 million. Funded projects are located in rural, remote and metropolitan areas throughout Australia.

Infrastructure projects are funded under a number of programs. For this RFT the current focus is projects funded under the Health and Hospitals Fund (HHF). Under the HHF, Non-Government Funding Recipients (NGO Funding Recipients) are required to submit Monthly Project Reports to the Department. Monthly Project Reports provide an up to date accountof the status and compliance of each project. Funding recipients are also required to engage approved Independent Certifiers to provide independent validatation of the Monthly Project Reports.

Independent Certifiers will be required to conduct quarterly assessments of projects and provide a Quarterly Certification Report to the Department that validates (or otherwise) the information provided in the NGO Funding Recipient's Monthly Project Report.

The purpose of this RFT is to identify suitable organisations for appointment of membership to the Panel of Independent Certifiers. A list of approved Independent Certifiers will be provided to NGO Funding Recipients who will then engage a suitable organisation from the list under their own procurement processes.
