Provision of Integrated Base Services in the North Queensland Region for Department of Defence

The Commonwealth is seeking tenders for the provision of Integrated Base Services in the North Queensland region of Defence Support Group within Defence, in accordance with the requirements contained in this Request for Tender (RFT).

This RFT represents a new procurement strategy for the provision of support services to Defence. This new strategy involves a departure from the traditional two-phase tendering of individual regional Garrison Support Service Contracts and Comprehensive Maintenance Services Contracts towards a focus on a single-phase, integrated service delivery procurement solution, currently known as the Base Services Contract.

The Commonwealth requires that there be one Prime Contractor to become the Service provider to deliver all Base Services in accordance with this RFT. Each tender, including those where the Service Provider entity is a joint venture or consortium, must provide a single management structure for delivery of Base Services and to meet the Commonwealth's contract management requirements.

To be valid for acceptance, a tender must cover the full range of activities described in the Statement of Work at Part 4 of this RFT. Where sub-contractors are to be utilised, prospective tenderers must ensure the suitability of any sub-contractor for the specific work envisaged, and that all work performed by sub-contractors meets the requirements of the resultant contract. Prospective tenderers will be responsible for all work performed by sub-contractors.
