Coast Park Seacliff to Kingston Park, Preliminary Design, Public Consultation, Detail design and tender Package.

This is a request for 'Expressions of Interest' from suitable consultants. It is intended that approximately four (4) consultants will then be selected to participate in the tender of consultation services in early 2009 to undertake the following:

To continue to develop Council's Coast Park shared pathway system, in conjunction with Planning SA, from Kingston Park at the city's southern boundary and connecting to the existing shared pathway at Seacliff.

To consider the specific characteristics of the locality and investigate appropriate design options such as widths, grades and choice of materials.

Engage with the key stakeholders reference group and community reference group which are proposed to be established by Council to provide input into the concept planning stage. Specifically, it is anticipated that the key stakeholders reference group will provide input during key stages of the project, and include representatives from the following agencies:

Planning SA
Kaurna people
Heritage Branch (Department for Environment and Heritage)
Adelaide's Living Beaches (Department for Environment and Heritage)

Council is intending to engage early with Kaurna representatives to clarify the extent of culturally significant land that may be subject to further survey prior to initiation of the concept design.
