The City of Charles Sturt leads in joint partnership with the City of Port Adelaide Enfield the commission of a highly visible major site-specific public artwork for the open space bound by Frederick Road and Old Port Road, at the site “Port Misery”
A contemporary public artwork specifically designed for the Port Misery Site and incorporated into the landscape plan, will interpret the stories of first settlement encounters to South Australia. This project will incorporate strong community engagement principles and best practice commissioning of artists through the creation of a Public Art Selection Group (PASG).
