The Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation (the Department) requires the provision of Hydrogen Value Chain Modelling in Western Australia and supporting technical and economic consulting services. The purpose of this consultancy is to model the impacts of potential government policies on the development of the renewable hydrogen industry and optimising public value for the State, based on a purpose-built model of the hydrogen value chain in Western Australia.
The outputs of the Project will include:
- a value chain model (the Model) designed to provide quantitative information to advise WA government policy;
- a report for the WA Government detailing the modelling of the hydrogen value chain in Western Australia, and the impact of different policies on the development of the industry and optimising public value for the State; and
- a public report outlining opportunities for investment in infrastructure development, downstream processing and uses of hydrogen and other value chain opportunities in Western Australia.
