Geraldton Port Authority Security

The successful Contractor will be responsible for the provision of general security services and security services in relation to the Geraldton Port Maritime Security Plan. The Geraldton Port has a Maritime Security Plan (MSP) as prescribed in Section 42 of the Maritime Transport and Offshore Facilities Security Act 2003 and the Maritime Transport and Offshore Facilities Security Regulations 2003. The successful Contractor will be required to provide security services for twenty four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week and fifty two (52) weeks a year.

The GPA will provide a majority of plant and equipment including vehicle, phone, radios, torches, computers, and CCTV. The GPA will also provide and bear the cost of training specific to Port requirements; this does not include the Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC). Currently this training is, but is not limited to, Marine Radio Operations, Emergency Response, Vessel Monitoring, Manual Handling and Fire Extinguisher training.
