Description
The main kitchen at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital (SCGH) is located in G Block on the 8th Floor, and is subject to a Food Safety upgrade requirement in relation to the flooring, general maintenance upgrading and some engineering services upgrades. The actual scope of work is shown on the design plans and specification notes included as PDF attachments, within Schedule 2.
The main kitchen will be closed for a maximum period of five (5) weeks, to allow the Contractor clear access to the work areas. Part of the kitchen not affected by works (Rethermalisation) will remain open for essential food preparation, deliver and temping the food products.
The scope of work will include appropriate hoarding of the Rethermalisation area, along with hoarding other surrounding areas, to maintain safety and infection control barriers whilst builders works occur
