The Western Australia Police (WA Police), through its Radio and Electronic Services Unit (RESU), operates a fleet of David Horn Communications Ltd (DHC) (United Kingdom) Digital Video Interview of Suspects (DVIS) equipment in both desktop and portable configurations currently totalling 296 units. The DVIS units are a unique 4 disk drive DVD recording unit comprising of pre-manufactured and custom DHC boards custom built specifically for digitally recording the audio/video of interviews conducted by police officers.
The equipment has previously been maintained under an extended warranty contract that will be replaced by a service contract subject of this Request.
