Description
The Contractor is required to provide face-to-face instructional services for two Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) courses to nominated technical and engineering personnel at nominated ADF bases, Australia wide. The Contractor is also required to manage and maintain these courses to the Training Specifications as provided by the Commonwealth Representative. The two E3 courses are:
Electromagnetic Environmental Effects Management Course – For Maintainers. The purpose of this course is to provide the student with an understanding of the basic elements of E3, including sources and victims of electromagnetic interference (EMI), protective and maintenance measures, fault finding of EMI problems and an introduction to the management of E3. The course also provides an awareness of common E3 testing techniques and the capabilities of E3 organisations both within Defence and Industry.
Electromagnetic Environmental Effects Management Course – For Designers. The purpose of this course is to provide the student with an understanding of the basic elements of E3, including sources and victims of EMI, tools for use in the management of E3 and an introduction to the applicable military and civilian standards. The course also provides an awareness of common E3 testing techniques, including protective design and maintenance measures, fault finding of EMI problems and an awareness of E3 related organisations
