Description

The Department of Planning (DoP), is seeking offers from suitably qualified and experienced consultants for the preparation of reports that analyse coastal vulnerability, flood hazard and associated risks to people, property and infrastructure at identified areas within the Shire. The defined areas include the following places: Ardyaloon, Kooljaman, Djarindjin/Lombadina, Beagle Bay, Willies Creek, McGuigan Road and Bidyadanga. The report is required to identify possible mitigation measures, but they are not to include detailed design solutions.

The reports will be used by the Department of Planning and the Shire of Broome in review of the respective planning instruments, including the Local Planning Scheme and Layout Plans. The reports may also be used by other state government agencies and authorities for various purposes regarding planning and development and emergency response within the areas that are the subject of the report.
