Description

The South Australian Government seeks expressions of interest to provide an emergency helicopter service. This forms Stage 1 of a two-stage tender process, with Stage 2 seeking more detailed responses from those respondents who are successful in Stage 1. The service is to be based at Adelaide Airport and provide transport throughout South Australia for the major metropolitan hospitals, SA Police, Country Fire Service and SA Ambulance Service. Roles include aeromedical transport, a wide range of policing activities (including winch rescue, surveillance, searches and tactical operations) and plotting of wild fires. The contract will be for a minimum of five years and is anticipated to start in April 2004. For Stage 1, respondents must demonstrate they have the organizational capability and financial capacity to provide the service.
