Description
The Department of Veterans’ Affairs (DVA) requires allied and community health advisers in a variety of fields:
- chiropractic
- community nursing
- dentistry
- dietetics
- occupational therapy
- physiotherapy
- podiatry
- psychology
- social work
- speech therapy
optometric
community support
- aged care
- health strategy and gerontology
These advisers will assist DVA in a range of activities and to meet its commitment to providing high quality, cost effective health care services to entitled persons through the provision of quality clinical and professional advice and information to DVA. Advisers contribute to the Department’s ability to efficiently make accurate determinations in relation to treatment requests and entitlement validation. They may also be required to support the development and delivery of community programs and to provide clinical / professional input into policy development processes.
