Details
Description
The National Measurement Institute (NMI) requires an experienced database manager to work with its scientific teams and general managers on the maintenance of its existing databases and the development of new systems. There are a number of databases involved that are employed across a range of business units which require upgrading on an ongoing basis to meet the ever changing needs from new technical requirements, new client requirements or new needs with respect to high level reporting of data. The databases are largely FilemakerPro based and allow the automation of many processes within NMI’s laboratories. They additionally record detailed sales data and allow business analysis of NMI’s dealings with its clients allowing trend analysis of different sectors, products etc.
It is envisaged that the work involved will require the services of a contractor for up to a maximum of 26.25 hour per week for 48 weeks of the year, i.e. a total of up to 1260 hours per annum. Due to the nature of this work it will need to be undertaken at NMI premises and personnel to deliver these services are expected to hold a Australian Government security clearance to at least the Protected level or be eligible to obtain such a security clearance.
