Description
From 2015, Year 7 will be the first year of secondary education in Western Australian public schools. The Department of Education (the Department) has developed a Year 7 Implementation Plan (the Plan), which outlines what is required to successfully transition Year 7 students to secondary settings from 2015.
This Request is the first part of a two stage procurement strategy to meet one aspect of the Plan, a program to provide professional learning to support up to 525 teachers to teach:
• Specialist secondary learning areas (Maths, Science and Design and Technology; and
• Special Education Needs, in either primary or secondary schools.
The Department through this Request is seeking suitable higher education providers to deliver post-graduate certificate courses via one semester (studied part-time over a full year) to teachers located state-wide.
