Description
THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF WHYALLA (the Council) invites tenders from Tenderers for the Provision of Concrete footpath construction and kerbing removal and construction (the Services). The Council will enter into a Contract for Services with the successful Tenderer.
The Services are segregated into two (2) parts, the first being the concrete footpath construction portion of the Services and the second being the removal and replacement of deteriorated and damaged sections of kerbing.
Concrete Footpath Construction (Part 1)
The aim of this portion of the Services is to provide additional concrete footpaths throughout the city of Whyalla, in accordance with the Whyalla City Council’s Concrete Footpath Policy and Council priorities.
Kerbing Construction (Part 2)
The aim of this project is to remove and replace damaged kerb throughout the City of Whyalla with minimum disruption to the existing road and footpath surfaces.
Adherence to Australian Standard and Work Health Safety Regulations
The envisioned outcome is to ensure that all work undertaken is completed in accordance with this specification, Australian Standards AS3600, AS1742, AS1428 and AS1379 or relevant parts thereof and to the Superintendent’s satisfaction. The Contractor is also required to ensure that all work is undertaken in accordance with any other relevant Australian Standards, not mentioned above, and relevant Codes of Practice. All work must be completed within the confines of the Work Health Safety Legislation and Regulations, and to Local WHS requirements.
This Contract incorporates work that is to be undertaken in the 2016/2017 and 2017/2018 financial years.
