Maritime Insurance Program Broking Services RFT

The Commonwealth of Australia (Commonwealth), as represented by Department of Defence (Defence) requires the following ongoing services as part of this RFT: advisory services, Insurance brokerage services and Insurance program design and execution. Defence owns, operates and charters a wide variety of vessels, all of which require maintenance, repair (Sustainment), updates, upgrades, refits and refurbishment (Modernisation), through the capability lifecycle in partnership with Industry. Defence are implementing continuous naval shipbuilding in accordance with the 2017 Naval Shipbuilding Plan. This program will entail a large number of vessels to be built, and sustained over the next 20 years. Defence has committed to releasing an updated Naval Shipbuilding and Sustainment Plan in 2024. This is fundamental to maintaining Australia’s sovereignty in a rules-based global order.
