Description

Concordia Growth Area - Urban Design - Housing, Infrastructure, Planning and Development Unit

This consultancy approach for a sole provider is required to be undertaken as a priority, to enable the Concordia Growth Area to further progress through rezoning assessment.

The aim of this project is to:

  • Prepare an Integrated Structure and Infrastructure Plan which will form basis of a Code Amendment Report and Infrastructure Scheme preparation for the Concordia Growth Area.
  • Facilitate integrated structure and infrastructure planning process in collaboration with other consultant disciplines and key stakeholders.
  • Ensure the outputs reflect the appropriate level of infrastructure planning required to enable the staged and coordinated delivery of infrastructure to support the future development.
  • Ensure alignment with State Planning Policies, Regional Plans and other relevant strategic documents.
  • Ensure that the structure plan is developed to accord with the State Planning Commission’s ‘living locally’ objective.
  • To ensure that the Concordia Growth Area is well integrated with the existing urban fabric, is designed to maximise housing opportunities, and capitalise on the site's features to achieve a site responsive and well-designed structure plan.

The projects are all anticipated for completion by 6 December 2024.
