Provision of Juror Meals and Other Catering

Tthe Department provides dine in lunch meals to empanelled juries at the Supreme and Districts Law Courts (SDLC) in Brisbane. There is also an occasional requirement to provide dinner meals when empanelled juries are required to stay on the premises after normal office hours. During trials which sit for extended periods, the Department noted that there is a need to ensure that meals can be varied and be non-repetitive. As a result of this, the Department is intending to engage more than one supplier to provide meals to the jurors.
