Provision of Market Research to support the Australian Government Online Service Point Program

The Australian Government Online Service Point is a 2007-2008 Budget initiative that will enhance australia.gov.au to provide a personalised online entry point to government for individuals.

The enhanced australia.gov.au will provide individuals with the option of an online government service account which they can personalise, offering integrated and seamless access to online transactions across participating Australian Government agencies.

The Australian Government Online Service Point Program is managed by the Australian Government Information Management Office (AGIMO), a business group of the Department of Finance and Deregulation (Finance).

Finance is seeking the advice, expertise and services of an experienced market research firm to implement a program of market research activities to support the development, delivery and evaluation of the new australia.gov.au website and associated services. This will include primary and secondary market research in 2008-09, and the establishment of a marketing information system.

The Market Research is required to:

• Inform, and support the evaluation of, the launch of the new australia.gov.au website.

• Inform and assist with the development of appropriate communications supporting the launch of the new australia.gov.au

• Establish pre- and post-launch measurement benchmarks in relation to the Australian public’s awareness of, take-up of and satisfaction with the australia.gov.au website and associated services.

• Contribute to the Post Implementation Review of the new australia.gov.au

• Inform the ongoing development of australia.gov.au
