Mt Hotham Zirky’s Carpark Civil Works

Mount Hotham Alpine Resort is seeking to engage a suitably qualified and experienced contactor for civil works in the Hotham Village. The works include the construction of stormwater drainage, concrete pavement, colored concrete pavement, frost free asphalt pavement, construction of stone cairns and site reinstatement. The successful contractor will be responsible for the supply, delivery and installation of all materials and the supply of all labour, plant and equipment required to successfully complete the works.

The works are located in the Hotham village adjacent to the Great Alpine Road, extending from the Hull skier bridge to Zirky’s apartments. The successful contractor will be responsible for all site management including environmental and safety controls, and all traffic management. The new stormwater crosses the Great Alpine Road that will require a partial road closure during construction. The successful contractor will be required to prepare a Traffic Management Plan incorporating the partial road closure and obtain approval from RRV/VicRoads prior to commencement of the works.

Mount Hotham is an alpine resort which experiences extreme weather throughout the year. These works are to commence in October, 2023 when ground conditions are deemed suitable. The successful contractor will need to monitor weather conditions and make provision for holding work activity and stabilizing the site should there be significant rainfall or other significant climate event.
