Description
Minimum railway protection standards are changing and the volume and type of road traffic is also changing warranting the upgrading of the freeway median barrier in some sections of the Mitchell Freeway.
Analysis has demonstrated that the wire rope barrier on the southbound side between the Tunnel Portal at 24.505 km to approx 250m south of Ocean Reef Rd 22.245 km requires to be replaced with a rigid concrete barrier to standard TL5.
