After the 2023 Workers Compensation Review report was released by the Law and Justice standing committee, SIRA committed to undertaking multiple actions in response to the recommendations. Multiple reviews over the past few years have enabled SIRA to self-reflect and consider alternatives viewpoints. SIRA has a broad range of stewardship, scheme design, and regulatory functions deliver on the agency's core purpose - making sure that NSW insurance schemes protect and support the people who need them, now and in the future. SIRA is committed to ensure the NSW statutory insurance schemes remain relevant, viable and meet the needs of scheme users.
