Details
Description
The Puckapunyal Military Area (PMA) is a major Australian Defence Force (ADF) training base that supports Headquarters Forced Command. It plays an important role in preparing troops for significant international engagements.
The PMA’s primary facilities include the Headquarters Combined Arms Training Centre, the School of Armour and School of Artillery, the Army School of Transport from the Army Logistics Training Centre, and Joint Logistics Unit (Victoria). The PMA also supports training by other ADF Units, Defence Cadets and civilian organisations, such as Police and Emergency Services.
Project A9064 seeks to address the highest priority condition, capacity and compliance issues associated with the existing water, stormwater and sewerage systems, and HAZCHEM storage compound at the PMA.
The key objectives of the Project are to, meet growth demand generated from expansion, replace facilities or equipment at the end of life, reduce maintenance costs by installing more efficient infrastructure, increase engineering services reliability, adhere to relevant compliance requirements and support personnel morale.
