The QUMAX Program aims to improve the health outcomes of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in rural and urban areas of Australia, by improving Quality Use of Medicines (QUM), medication compliance and access, over a two year period.
The Program is a joint collaboration between the Department of Health and Ageing, the Pharmacy Guild of Australia and the National Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation, and is funded under the Fourth Community Pharmacy Agreement.
The evaluation of the Program will help to inform the Australian Government regarding future policies and programs that support improved QUM and medicines access for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in rural and urban areas.
