Provision of TAFE Queensland Student Management Solution

The objective of this Invitation is to source a Student Management Solution that aligns with and supports TAFE Queensland’s future direction. The solution includes the provision of a fully managed service including all underpinning infrastructure, environments, technical services and support required to deliver the solution in alignment with TAFE Queensland’s requirements.

TAFE Queensland is the largest provider of Vocational Education and Training (VET) in Queensland. TAFE Queensland offers award and non-award courses. Students consist of apprentices, trainees, Australian or overseas students studying at TAFE Queensland and secondary schools concurrently. Enrolments are funded on a fee-for-service (commercial) basis, paid for by a third party (e.g. the student’s employer) or subsidised by State or Commonwealth governments. Students are able to access commonwealth offered income contingent loans through Fee Help and VET Fee help. TAFE Queensland is embarking on a business transformation program to align with the recommendations of the Skills and Training Taskforce, the Government’s response to the Taskforce’s recommendations and the Government’s “Great skills. Real opportunities” paper which is the Queensland Government’s reform action plan for further education and training.

TAFE Queensland has been established as an independent statutory body with a commercial focus effective from 1 July 2013. There has been significant structural reform introduced by the Great skills Real opportunities, policy which headlines the reform action plan for further education and training. Under this plan, over the next five years, reform will be undertaken to ensure that TAFE Queensland will be competitive, responsive, innovative and flexible.
