Description
The Department of Education and Training (the Department) is seeking the purchase of a secure,
flexible and user friendly web-based visual mapping tool to provide DET with the ability to use spatial
information and analysis. This application will complement the existing tools and other departmental
systems in meeting DET reporting requirements.
The visual mapping tool will provide DET with the ability to combine a variety of datasets in order to
provide true positional awareness in support of conducting analysis across multiple sources of
information through a web based interface allowing non-technical users to create and seamlessly create
visual maps using simple “point-and-click” technology while storing the data in an easy to analyse
relational database.
