The Gold Coast Waterways Authority (GCWA) requires the services of a suitably qualified, experienced and resourced contractor to undertake the civil and ancillary works associated with the Doug Jennings Park Ongoing Rehabilitation Project, The Spit at Main Beach on the Gold Coast.
The successful contractor will be required to undertake all works associated with the construction to meet both the Principal’s project requirements and the requirements of the contract. The Works are to be delivered under an AS2124 General Conditions of Contract.
The main elements of the works under this engagement will include:
- Realignment and reconstruction of the road in the northern section of the Spit Finger
- Resurfacing the existing road and speed humps
- Construction of formalised parking areas
- Grading of road shoulders and swales
- Installation of bollards to control vehicular access
- Installation of a main gate to allow GCWA to manage the southern section of the Spit Finger as a day-use area
- Installation of maintenance access gates
- Levelling and seeding of open spaces
- Signage
- Solar lighting
- Installation of additional garbage bin pads
