Physical Work Capacity Assessment (PWCA)

The Department of Fire and Emergency Services (DFES) is seeking a suitably qualified service provider to conduct Physical Work Capacity Assessments (PWCA) for applicant and career firefighters. The PWCA is used to objectively measure an individual’s capacity to perform physically demanding and role specific tasks. The PWCA also assists with the identification of biomechanical and physiological factors that may impair a participant’s ability to perform the inherent tasks required of an operational firefighter.
