Description
Registrations of Interest are invited from suitably qualified entities to undertake the role of Managing Contractor Services for the Defence Logistics Services Project - Works Package 3, Joint Logistics Unit (South Queensland), Lavarack Barracks and RAAF Base Townsville.
The Commonwealth will then create a shortlist from which it will invite tenders.
At the time of issuing a Invitation to Register Interest, the package of works include the development of design documentation, programs and cost plans to support a Detailed Business Case in mid 2011, a Public Works Committee process in mid 2011 and a Delivery Phase commencing in November 2011 as follows:
•Joint Logistics Unit (North Queensland) Lavarack Barracks and RAAF Base Townsville.
At the time of issuing the Invitation to Register Interest:
•Services are anticipated to commence in February 2011 with completion on or before:
•Joint Logistics Unit (North Queensland) Lavarack Barracks - progressively from September 2013;
The estimated value of the works at:
•Joint Logistics Unit (North Queensland) Lavarack Barracks and RAAF Base Townsville is between $110 million and $140 million.
To submit a conforming Registration of Interest:
•the Registration of Interest must be submitted in accordance with clause 3.1(a)(i) (including submission to the address specified in the Invitation to Register Interest by the closing time and date described in the Invitation to Register Interest);
•the Registration of Interest must satisfy each minimum form and content requirement in clause 3.1(a)(ii); and
•the Applicant must satisfy each condition for participation in clause 3.1(a)(iii),of the relevant Invitation to Register Interest.
The evaluation criteria are described in clause 2 of each Invitation to Register Interest.
The National Code of Practice for the Construction Industry and the Australian Government Implementation Guidelines for the National Code of Practice for the Construction Industry August 2009, apply to this project.
The Australian Government Fair Work Principles apply to these procurements.
The Australian Government Building and Construction OHS Accreditation Scheme authorised by the Building and Construction Industry Improvement Act 2005 (Cth) and the Building and Construction Industry Improvement (Accreditation Scheme) Regulations 2005 (Cth) applies to these contracts.
Please note that the Defence Logistics Services Project and the project described in each Invitation to Register Interest are subject to various Government approvals and the Public Works Committee Act 1969 (Cth).
