Upgrade of the Basin ablution facility, Rottnest Island

Following assessment of Rottnest Island ablution facilities the ablution building at the Basin was identified as requiring an upgrade. The building has extensive corrosion to the roof sheeting, roof support structures and ventilation screens. The RIA commissioned an engineer’s report on the condition of the building and the works contained in this tender are based on the engineer’s recommendations. The works include: the replacement of roof purlins, sheeting and screens and the painting of the primary steel structure. The works will necessitate the closure of the ablution for the duration of the works and the lease of portable ablutions
