Currimundi Special School - External Maintenance (With Design Responsibility)

The Department of Education (DoE) is calling for tender submissions for the design and construction of various External Maintenance works at Currimundi Special School, located at 2 Buderim Street, Dicky Beach QLD 4551, as part of the Targeted Maintenance (TARGETED) program.

The scope of work comprises of various external maintenance works across the entire school including painting timber decking and covered walkways, grinding back and repainting steelwork to covered walkways, replacing rusted external louvres, replacing external timber stairs, replacing missing internal ceiling panels, new concrete and vinyl in showers and general landscaping improvements, etc. All works are to be completed by October 2024.
Tender submissions will be accepted from contractors that meet the following requirements:

• Appropriate QBCC Builders licences to undertake the entire scope of works
• Professional Indemnity Insurance to the value of $2,000,000.00

QBCC Licensing and Professional Indemnity Insurance
It is anticipated that a minimum of a QBCC (Low Rise) builders’ licence will be required for this project. Contractors are required to hold Professional Indemnity Insurance in accordance with the contract.
