Description
The ABS is seeking a two-factor authentication solution that could be implemented in both our internal and gateway environments for both remote and internal access. We anticipate the outcome will be to provide an improved secure and flexible network authentication infrastructure for our server and workstation environments.The ABS desires one or more of the following features to deliver a total solution for internal and remote access:(a)Support for authentication with a range of SSL VPN devices.(b)Support for the Microsoft Smart Card Minidriver Specification.(c)Support for the Federal Information Processing Standards Publication 201 (FIPS 201) standard.(d)Support for the DSD Australasian Information Security Evaluation Program (AISEP) certification.(e)Support for the Personal Identification Verification II (PIV II) standard.(f)Support for authentication with the Radius protocol.(g)The ability to store X.509 certificates on a smart card device.(h)Compliance with the Australian National e-Authentication Framework.(i)Support for Microsoft Windows (Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 2003 SP2, Windows 2008 SP2, Windows 2008 R2), Suse Linux 9, Suse Linux 10, and a variety of network security appliances and VPN concentrators.(j)A 5 year lifecycle for hardware devices.The ABS is interested in possible integration with the following:(a)Physical building access through inclusion of a proximity module integrated into the physical token.
(b)FollowMe printing support for our Sharp multifunction printers.
