Details
Description
The Public Transport Authority (PTA) is responsible for the operation of all bus, train and ferry public transport services in the greater metropolitan area under the Transperth brand. We operate public transport services in regional centres under the TransRegional brand; road coach and rail passenger services to regional areas under the TransWA brand; and administer and manage School Bus Services.
The PTA design, build and maintain public transport infrastructure and protect the long-term viability of Western Australia’s rail corridor and railway infrastructure. The PTA is part of the Transport Portfolio and delivers integrated and intelligent transport systems and services. Our vision is to be recognised as a leader in providing world-class public transport services and solutions. We're dedicated to providing an accessible, reliable and safe public transport system for all Western Australians. As part of this commitment, the PTA continuously reviews the existing network and plans for future growth. The planning and delivery of public transport projects, including METRONET, aim to connect our suburbs, reduce road congestion, and meet Perth’s future transport needs.
The PTA’s Project Management Framework (PMF) provides guidance, structure, and standards for good project management as it relates to the Project Management Book of Knowledge (PMBOK). The PTA’s Project Management Policy and associated guidelines define the process and responsibilities for project work and are supported by definitions, templates, standards, and tools to form a framework for the management of projects. The PMF defines six distinct and gated stages in a project’s life cycle: needs; evaluation; definition; delivery; asset acceptance; and completion. The PTA’s Project Stage Gate Reviews are sequential, structured, and mandatory.
The objective of this Contract is for the successful delivery of a customised Diploma of Project Management (BSB50820) program that embeds PTA’s Management Framework, as well as related processes, templates, and systems. The Contractor will be required to consult closely with the PTA’s Contract Manager and selected subject matter experts in the design and delivery of courseware.
