Description
The Qld National Imaging Facility Node (NIF) is located in the Centre for Advanced Imaging (CAI) at UQ. NIF houses an internationally unique facility allowing simultaneous Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Positron Emission Tomography (PET) imaging in small animals. The operating systems, while state of the art when installed in 2012, are encroaching end of life.As such, UQ seeks Offers for the supply of equipment and services to upgrade or replace the current two separate component Magnetic Resonance Positron Emission Tomography (MR-PET) system to a fully integrated commercial MR-PET system with a new single operating system.
UQ has issued this ITO in order to achieve the following objectives and benefits:
- Objective: Upgrade or replace the current two separate component MR-PET system to a fully integrated MR-PET system with a new single operating system.
- Benefit: Simultaneous control of the MRI and PET from a single software platform greatly enhancing the integration of the MRI and PET data acquired.
- Benefit: facilitate increased collaboration with industry, universities, research centres, and institutions, and keep Australia at the leading edge of MR-PET research.
