Greens Creek Bridge Replacement - Cedar Pocket Road

.Tenders are invited from suitably qualified and experienced contractors for the replacement of the existing timber bridge with a reinforced concrete bridge on Cedar Pocket Road over Greens Creek in Greens Creek, Queensland.

The works generally include:

• Environmental Management, including (but not limited to) checking for fauna prior to vegetation clearing & bridge demolition, weed management and other items as identified in the Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP).
• Traffic management.
• Construction of temporary side-track, and removal at completion of works.
• Demolition of existing timber bridge, stockpiling of good materials for Council collection, and disposal of remainder.
• Minor earthworks
• Construction of a new prestressed concrete bridge with cast-in-situ concrete deck as the wearing surface (complete).The precast planks specified are 1200mm Quickcell planks with cast-in-situ deck slab. An Alternative to these planks has been deleted from this contract.
• Full reconstruction of road pavement to wider formation with improved vertical geometry, between Chainage 10 and 95
• Widening of road pavement under traffic, between Chainage 95 and 160: with small improvement to vertical geometry and full width reseal;
• Installation of road signage, wire rope barriers, concrete cut-off walls (CW1) to protect pavementduring flood overtopping, and guide posts.
• Scour protection and soil stabilisation measures including riprap, subsoil drainage, planting,turfing and hydromulching.
• Removal and disposal of all waste material from the site and finishing the works to a high standard.
