Description
Queensland Rail has a requirement for an external testing company to conduct onsite alcohol and other drugs testing. Queensland Rail has approximately 6500 staff located at more than 250 worksites throughout the state. The testing program covers all staff at all locations, as well as business visitors, volunteers and contractors. Testing can occur on any day, at any time (including weekends, public holidays and night work).
Testing types include:
• Random
• Risk Based – mandatory testing of National Health Scheme (NHS) Category 1 and 2 Rail Safety Workers
• Upon suspicion
• Post incident
• Return to work following an initial positive test result, and
• Testing conducted under health or performance improvement plans.
