OUTCOME
100% of Albany and Esperance port zone growers who frequently experience waterlogging will know if ripping and/or summer/cover crops are viable tools to improve crop establishment, crop rooting depth, and yield in a waterlogging year on their property.
OUTPUTS
1. Demonstration sites located throughout the port zones to look at the effect of summer cropping on waterlogged soils and the resultant impact on crop growth and yield.
2. Annual Results Report approved by the GRDC manager delivered by February 2019.
3. Final report to be delivered to GRDC by February 2020. Contained within the Final Report will be best bet management options on waterlogging.
