SMART Farming Farm Water Development Plan Pilot

The Department of Primary Industries and Water (DPIW) through its SMART Farming Initiative wishes to implement a program under which the Department provides funding to farmers to subsidise the cost of preparation of a Farm Water Development Plan (FWDP). As this is a new initiative, the Department wishes to commission the services of suitably qualified consultants to produce Farm Water Development Plans for three properties located around Tasmania under a pilot program. The outcomes from the pilot will then be used to assess how to refine the framework for the development of farm water development plans on a commercial basis over the next three years. The Department is seeking quotations from suitable consultants to undertake the preparation of each of three pilot plans. A brief, available from the Department, provides details of the three properties selected for the pilot work. The Department will be commissioning the work for each of the three plans separately although a single consultant may be awarded the work for more than one of the pilot plans.
