Provision of an Employee and Student Assistance Program

West Coast Institute of Training (WCIT) requires the provision of:
(i) An Employee Assistance Program entailing a confidential professional counselling service for all employees and their partners and dependent children;
(ii) A confidential professional counselling support service for International students;
(iii) A confidential professional counselling support service for students;
(iv) Mediation services;
(v) Critical Incident Support services; and
(vi) Promotional activities as pertains to the availability of the above services.

WCIT requires the above support programs so as to provide a confidential and professional counselling service to approximately 400 staff, their partners and dependent children, 240 international students and 12,000 students. This service is paid for by WCIT and offered free of charge to the individual. These support programs are designed to provide short to medium term assistance to employees and immediate family members experiencing difficulties. WCIT requires the services for one (1) year on an “as required” basis with four (4) x one (1) year extension options.
