Description
CSIRO developed a water quality model for Macquarie Harbour under a previous research project in 2020. The water quality model was restarted in October 2023. The model informs regulatory decisions relating to the management of salmon farming in Macquarie Harbour, in particular regard to the conservation and species recovery efforts for the endangered Maugean Skate. This update to the model made it fit for purpose.
